July 2026 Horoscope: Mercury Retrograde and The Cosmic Dance

For most of July The Sun transits through the sensitive, emotional and intuitive sign of Cancer. This is a time when safety, home, belonging, moods, feelings and our inner world take center stage. This is a great time to heal, to process emotions and be kind and gentle with ourselves and others. When the Sun moves into Leo on the 22nd the spotlight is on creative self- expression, joy, being recognized and taking up as much spotlight as possible.

Venus the planet of love leaves dramatic and expressive Leo on the 9th and enters methodical Virgo. Love can then can be expressed as a service, perfecting one self and we can take pleasure in routines, work and getting our lives in order.

Mercury retrograde started on June 19th and will end on July 23rd. During this time there can be mis-communications, delays, cancelations, technological breakdowns, friends from the past returning and mental fog. The universe is not punishing us, it is just forcing us to slow down and look at things from another angle. July 13th Sun conjunct Mercury

We maybe more confident and powerful in our communications yet the retrograde still asks for caution in expressing ourselves due to potential miscommunications.

July 14th New Moon in Cancer

This starts a brand new two weeks cycle of new beginnings along the lines of all things Cancer: Home, roots, intuition, feelings, nurturing, healing and the inner world.

July 22nd The Sun enters Leo

When the Sun shifts into  Leo we go from a focus on feelings, moods and the inner world to an urge to be recognized, creative self expression, leadership and confidence.
