July Horoscope 2025: Uranus leaves Taurus and enters Gemini on the 7th for the next seven years!

This month involves quite a few retrogrades including Neptune, Saturn and Mercury retrograde which can be experienced as re-assessments, reviews and internal questioning of the planetary principles for the upcoming four to five months. Mercury retrograde towards the end of the month will have a duration of three weeks. Saturn conjunct Neptune continues on in the background all month having reality meet our dreams when it comes to any new projects we have started. July 5th Venus enters Gemini making social connections a bit lighter, while Uranus enters Gemini on July 7th being the last major planet changing signs for 2025 and will stay here more or less for seven years. This brings major innovations to communication, transport and intelligence.

The Sun enters Leo on July 23rd shifting us from emotional realms of Cancer to the fiery and creative and self expressive royal realms of Leo.  The Full Moon is on July 10th which highlights the balance between professional life and private life. Mercury retrograde on July 18th can manifest as miscommunications, technology breakdowns and delays (So we can better reflect on our thoughts and communication patterns), best to avoid important decision making until after the retrograde ends.

Saturn Conjunct Neptune in Aries (1°–2°)

This aspect will be active in the background for most of 2025. It was exact last on June 15th 2025. Reality (Saturn) meets dreams and illusions (Neptune) when it comes to new beginnings and projects. In some ways we could feel limited, doubt ourselves and have to slow down to work hard, discipline ourselves and cut out fantasy and embrace practicality in setting solid foundations in our lives for our dreams. The Sun enters Cancer June 20th this year and will enter Leo on July 30th 2025.

Neptune in Pisces Sextile Pluto Rx in Aquarius (2°–3°)

Visions of independence and spiritual courage (Neptune in Aries) can support internal transformations that are occurring within humanity at this time (Pluto retrograde in Aquarius). The ideals for a new beginning can assist with death and rebirth when it comes to technology, equality and progressive change.

July 4 – Venus Conjunct Uranus in Taurus (29°) 

Love and relationships (Venus) take on an electrifying, unexpected and free-spirited flavor that may shake, innovate and break free from past patterns (Uranus) to do with values, stability and comforts. We have to be careful of self-centered behavior, impulsive spending and insensitivity in our relationships.

July 4 – Neptune Retrograde Begins (2° Aries)

Neptune turning retrograde for five months has us reflect and reassess our dreams, intuition, spirituality, compassion, self sabotage and any escapist tendencies we may have. Our intuition may be heightened during this time and we can become disillusioned.

July 5 – Venus Enters Gemini from July 4th until July 30th

Love, values and relationships (Venus) are motivated by an urge for variety, curiosity, communication, wit, playfulness and lightness. We may get a bit bored easily and need more social and intellectual stimulation. We must watch out for lying, deception and superficiality. Beware of love triangles!

July 6 – Venus Trine Pluto Rx in Aquarius (3°)

Relationships can flow by reassessment of deep healing that needs to be done. The fears that we are releasing to do with our humanity and social change can bring ease to our social connections.

July 7 – Saturn Conjunct Neptune in Aries (1°–2°)

The conjunction continues, Saturn like a cold splash of water on you in the form of a reality check as you wake up drunk and have work to do (Neptune rules drugs and alcohol and all forms of escapism.) It is time to get to work, there are new beginnings and visions that need to be implemented into the structures and systems of our lives, yet that cannot happen without disciplined effort and cutting out fantasy from tangible achievement.

July 7 – Uranus Enters Gemini 

With Uranus has spent seven years in the sign of Taurus previously. Whatever sign Uranus is in it disrupts, breaks free from structure and routine, brings freedom from the status quo, inventions, flashes of insight, social change and a disconnection from the past.

When Uranus was it Taurus it disrupted and brought innovation (Uranus) to the financial markets and banks (Taurus) , providing more freedom to individuals and autonomy with resources (Taurus), it brought about social change (Uranus) to do with green initiatives (Taurus) and breaking free from the status quo around material things, values, money, stability and comforts. With Uranus in Gemini for the next seven years we could see sudden disruptions, autonomy, freedom, progressive changes and inventions (Uranus) along the lines of communication, rational thought, information exchange, transport, the media, education, intelligence and socializing. This Full Moon brings to light the need for achievement, integrity, reputation enhancement, long term perspective and practicality. We must balance our work life (Capricorn) with our private life (Cancer) over the next two weeks.

July 11 – Saturn Conjunct Neptune in Aries Continues (1°–2°)

This transit continues. Hopefully we have begun cutting out illusions and building solid foundations  (Saturn) for our dreams (Neptune) with strength and courage (Aries) as well as dissolving (Neptune) restrictions and limits we have placed on our independence.

July 13 – Saturn Retrograde Begins (1° Aries) 

Saturn will go retrograde for four and half months. This is a time where there can be reflection and review of the structures, limits, foundations, long term goals and responsibilities that we have. We could perhaps doubt ourselves a bit more during this time and it could feel like there could be more delays to the new projects that the planet has recommended we put in work toward.

July 18 – Mercury Retrograde Begins (15° Leo) 🔁

Friends can feel distant in communication and old friends can resurface. Technology and other mechanical things may malfunction and there can be delays when it comes to business, travel and the mail. It is best to double check anything written or spoken as we are more prone to making mistakes at this time. It is a good time for keeping a journal and reflecting on the past. July 18 – Mercury Rx Sextile Venus in Gemini (15°)

The reflections on our thought processes and speech can enhance self worth, relationship harmony and enjoyment in our connections with others. This can signify a time of advanced social intelligence.

July 21 – Venus in Gemini Square Mars in Virgo (18°)

In our social connections (Venus) there can be tension (square) produced by aggressiveness and selfishness (Mars.) We need to learn how to enjoy having fun, keeping it light (Venus in Gemini) but balance that with energy into being accountable and taking care of daily routines. This is so that we don’t attack others due to our inadequacies (Negative Mars in Virgo.)

The Sun will transit the sign of Leo until August 22nd when it changes into earth sign Virgo. When the Sun is in Leo (The sun is very strong here) there is increased focus on creative self expression and an urge for recognition. Leo’s natural ruler is the Sun and so just like the sun there is a motivation to shine brightly, energize our creative projects, and express ourselves from the heart. Creativity, playfulness, leadership, courage, independence, romance and joy rule the show, yet the darkside of arrogance, entitlement, pride, anger and bullying can also manifest if we are not careful.

The playfulness and courage of the Sun in Leo can enhance the progressive changes 

to do with communication and intelligence that is taking place on the planet with Uranus newly in the sign of Gemini for the next seven years. We can be more reforming, free spirited and come up with solutions to old challenges more readily with this influence…

We may be a bit more willing to speak the truth when it comes to authority figures.

July 23 – Sun Trine Saturn Rx in Aries (0°–1°)

The spotlight on courage (Sun in Leo) brings ease (trine) to any reflection (Neptune Retrograde) on visions of independence. We radiate more sensitivity, compassion at this time, as well as want to express ourselves through artistic and spiritual activities.

July 24 – Sun Opposition Pluto Rx in Aquarius (1°–2°)

There can be a tension between an urge for our own recognition and enjoyment (The Sun in Leo) and what we have been reviewing that needs to be transformed within humanity (Pluto retrograde in Aquarius). This can be a time where we have to be careful of power struggles, old wounds may rise to the surface in interaction with others, giving us an opportunity to heal and empower ourselves. Yet we could also take this energy and become more willful, manipulative and hungry for power if we are not careful, which would create more hurt.

July 24 – New Moon in Leo (2°) 🌑

The New Moon in Leo brings a fresh start for creative self expression, playfulness, joy, leadership, courage, confidence, strength, passion and celebration for the next two weeks. We may find some obstacles to these intentions with Pluto in Aquarius retrograde opposing this New Moon. This means we may have to balance our fun and celebration (New Moon in Leo) with some  fears to do with humanity's past (Pluto retrograde in Aquarius). 

July 27 – Saturn Rx Sextile Uranus in Gemini (0°–1°)

This aspect we can see reflected on the global stage. The re-assessments that have been taking place in regards to responsibilities that  have to do new beginnings will enhance any innovations that will take place to communication, learning and intelligence. You could see this within governments and systems being more open to progressive change within systems, this aspect can be more supportive than disruptive.

Any conversations that take place on this day when there is a highlight (The Sun) on communication and information exchange (Mercury) is important. We can be more confident with our communication but we have to be careful that we are communicating clearly as it is still Mercury retrograde.
