The Sun Transiting Leo: Our Time To Shine

As of July 22nd through August 22nd the Sun transits the sign of Leo the fifth fixed fire sign of the zodiac (that was a lot of F's it was sort of a tongue twister.) It has been here for the past six days and so the intensity is building.

You see Leo is a sign that is ruled by the Sun so basically it is the captain of this sign. If you are lucky enough to live somewhere where there is a lot of Sun (sorry UK), you will notice that it feels great! It energizes you, it can shift a negative mood into a positive one. When you see the Sun after cloudy weather it brings a ray of hope, optimism and lifted spirits.

It does all of this from 94.381 miles away from earth. It makes the plants and food grow, provides us with Vitamin D, can energize solar panels, create fire and give us a reason to go to the beach and throw a party!

Leo is right at home with the Sun as its ruler and so this means it is more comfortable expressing these qualities.

Just like the Sun shines one the earth, Leo shines straight from the heart (which this sign rules) and radiates this joy, creativity, warmth, radiance, confidence, expression, playfulness and energy out into the world and their own personal life as well.

The king of the jungle the Lion is not afraid to make themselves known with their strength, dominance, willpower, confidence, playfulness, joy and expression.

And so this is the energy that will influence us for the rest of the month.

We are being asked to become our own stars in our own movies and to really love ourselves and let ourselves be seen in our glory.

The shadow side of this sign of of course is arrogance, pomposity, need for attention, narcissism, bullying and dogma if we are not careful. We definitely do not want to become buffoons.

The transit of Leo can be a new beginning for Leo's, a time of challenge and adjustment to Taurus and Scorpios and a time of opposition but also of bearing the fruits of labor from the past six months for Aquarius.

For Gemini and Libra this can be a time of opportunity and excitement and for Aries and Sagittarius a period of a flow of talents and confidence yet this can also be squandered in laziness.

Capricorn, Cancer, Virgo and Pisces may find that a lot of adjustment is necessary to navigate the differences in this energy.
